The latest episode of 'WandaVision' aired and the comic book fans are freaking out. Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) have decided to name their kids Tommy and Billy, which is a direct reference to the comic book storylines. In the comics, the unusual couple have twins named Tommy and Billy. Of course, in the comics, considering it's Wanda, nothing is as stable as it seems and things go round the bend.

Not that the Disney Plus show is all that normal either. Considering that we last saw Vision dying a brutal death in 'Avengers: Infinity War', Wanda's little home with him is clearly a suburban fantasy. Every time something goes remotely wrong, she does a reset and things switch back.

Fans are excited about Billy and Tommy, nevertheless, even though it might all just be Wanda's imagination. "// #WandaVision spoilers - - - - HELPEMEHWJKDKW THE NAMES THEY SAID THE NAMES BILLY AND TOMMY IM GOING CRAZY ALREADY," a fan tweeted. "// #WANDAVISION  WANDAVISION WANDA VISION SPOILERS SPOILER . . . . . . TOMMY IS GONNA BE WANDA’S FAVORITE I CAN ALREADY TELL OMG," another wrote. "BILLY AND TOMMY?! FUCK YES! #WandaVision," one excitedly tweeted. Others wrote about how they were keeping to the storyline of the young Avengers. "BILLY AND TOMMY. THE TWINS BEYBEH YEEEEEEES YOUNG AVENGERS #WandaVision," another tweeted. "HE SAID BILLY SHE SAID TOMMY THE YOUNG AVENGERS ARE HERE #WANDAVISION." a fan tweeted.

In the comics, Wanda conceives children named Thomas and William. As Vision is an android, she conceives by magic. As comic book storylines are known to stretch for decades, writers use the method of retconning to keep things fresh and new. This means that they change the history of a character and say that whatever was depicted in the past never happened and the occurrences that are happening now are actually new. So in the retcon that concerns Vision and Wanda's children, that occurs in 1989's 'Avengers' West Coast', it was the demon Mephisto, who used a possessed man called Master Pandemonium to absorb the twins into his own body.

So, Thomas and William are not actual people. They were shards of Mephisto's souls that had manifested into child-like apparitions in the form of magic that Wanda had used to get herself pregnant. So for a long time, it was assumed that Wanda and Vision's kids were not real. This caused much friction between Wanda and Vision, as Wanda was broken to the point of being unstable. Another retcon was pulled and in the 'Young Avengers', two members are introduced, Wiccan and Speed. They are mutants and Wiccan's powers are similar to Wand, and Speed has powers similar to Quicksilver.

And you thought your life was difficult. Tune into 'WandaVision' on Disney Plus, Fridays.
