When will 'Walker' Episode 2 air? Cordell and Liam clash again as a fire steals attention on The CW show
Jared Padalecki is bringing to the screen Chuck Norris' iconic sheriff Cordell Walker once again, this time through The CW's 'Walker'. The pilot kicks off when "Texas Ranger Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a widower and father of two with his own moral code, returns home to Austin, TX, after being undercover for two years, only to discover there's harder work to be done at home." Soon tussles with his family arise as Walker "attempts to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son August (Kale Culley) and his headstrong and somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter Stella (Violet Brinson). But that's not all he has on his agenda. His family who stepped in as surrogate parents following the suspicious death of his wife Emily (guest star Genevieve Padalecki) aren't too keen on him either. According to TV schedule and listings, 'Walker' Episode 2 will air in just a week's time, on Thursday, January 28, at its 8 pm time slot only on The CW. How funny it is that Padalecki's next big television appearance replaces his big show 'Supernatural' after it wrapped in November 2020. The episode titled 'Back in the Saddle', sees Walker trying to reconnect with his kids. The catch is that "his kids have developed new routines with Liam (Keegan Allen). Back at work, Captain James (Coby Bell) tells Walker he needs to get recertified to be a Ranger, but old memories of (Walker's dead wife) Emily hinder his progress. Micki (Lindsey Morgan) investigates a suspicious fire."
The pilot saw Walker realize that "he needs to navigate clashes with his family." His brother Liam, Walker's ADA who stepped in during Walker's absence, his perceptive mother Abeline (Molly Hagen), and his traditional rancher father Bonham (Mitch Pileggi)" are the ones he's clashing with, hence the tension in the upcoming episode. "His former colleague, Larry James (Coby Bell), is now his Ranger Captain. And Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner Micki, one of the first women in Texas Rangers' history while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife's death."
'Walker' will air on Thursdays at 8 pm only on The CW.
