John F. Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette's romance was one of the major talking points in the country during the 1990s. Now, Ryan Murphy's TV show based on their 'Love Story' has captivated the nation.

Based on author Elizabeth Beller’s Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the FX limited series follows JFK Jr. (Paul Anthony Kelly), the son of former POTUS and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Bessette, later Bessette-Kennedy (Sarah Pidgeon), as their whirlwind romance had people swooning.

Four episodes in, 'Love Story' continues to generate the buzz, with the anticipation for episode 5 growing by the day. Titled 'Battery Park', the fifth episode will premiere February 26, at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT on FX, with streaming available on Hulu and Disney+.

"As their love story unfolded on a national stage, the intense fame and media attention that came along with it threatened to rip them apart," the series' official synopsis reads. It further added that the chapters will delve into "the complex and heartbreaking journey of a couple whose private love became a national obsession."

Additional cast members include Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, Leila George as Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon as Lauren Bessette, and Constance Zimmer as Ann Marie Messina.

Earlier, Kelly spoke about playing the role of a marquee personality. "Stepping into the characterization of John F. Kennedy Jr. definitely has a lot of weight to it," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Because of that, the care and integrity that I had to bring to find the truth in the whole story were essential. A lot of it is imagining what would happen behind closed doors, given their circumstances. We tried to be as conscientious and truthful as possible about what that would look like."

"He just wanted to be an everyman,” the actor detailed JFK Jr.. "He got along with everybody. He made everyone feel special. His desire to go about life his own way was the most surprising — and rewarding — piece of information I learned. He really did things on his own terms."

The series has opened to positive acclaim, and with five episodes remaining, the love story of the two personalities that became tabloid fodder will surely gather more steam over the next few weeks. The finale is slated to premiere on March 26.

'Love Story' Episodes 1-4 are available to stream on Hulu and Disney+
