When it's not about death and Valhalla, it is about life and battle, and that is exactly what transpires in the upcoming episode of Vikings Season Five titled 'What Happens in the Cave'.

The promo trailer released immediately after episode 18, 'Baldur', aired as the season builds up towards the finale. Season Five, unlike prior seasons of the History Channel flagship, revolved around Ragnar Lothbrok's sons and their differences.

The teaser picks up after Ivar left his newborn son to die in the woods because the son was deformed and reminded Ivar of his own shortcomings. A distraught Freydis asks in the trailer; "Did you kill our son?"
