'Black Ink Crew: Chicago' aired Season 6 finale this week and fans are not happy. The VH1-backed show had just returned from a mid-season break on July 6 and it's already coming to an end. What has the fans most disappointed is that the makers had just begun to develop a few storylines (Steven-Kitty Sovain, for instance) but now all of it has to come to an abrupt end.

Like most of the world, the Covid-19 crisis hit Chicago bad and hard, resulting in a sudden break in the lives of people. In order to tackle the virus, the immediate directive from the government was to shut shop and stay at home. Since 'Black Ink Crew: Chicago' is all about tattoo artists, they had to close down their business and patiently wait for the worst to get over. Although the network didn't share any reason for the early finale, but it could be that they had to shut down production due to the pandemic.

We see how most of them are having to record their confessionals on phone and even install cameras at home to film themselves in their houses, which would have never been the case earlier. Working and filming simultaneously may not be feasible and fans will have to wait before they can binge on the show again. However, viewers are emotional about the show and were thrown in for a loop when the channel announced 'Black Ink Crew: Chicago' Season 6 would air its finale this week.

"This the season finale? It’s only been like 3 episodes lol. I get it I guess. #BlackInkCHI," a fan commented. "Yes tonight is the #BlackInkCHI SEASON FINALE folks..... What the hell was the point in even having a season?" to which another responded: "Right, it was only like 5 shows."

"I don’t know which one is more annoying, the fact that VH1 lied and said Joseline was returning to Love & Hip Hop or this mini-season ass, 4 episode ass season of #BlackInkCHI. They basically lied to us for views," said a disappointed viewer.

"Season finale? It's been like 3 episodes. If this was all they had, they coulda kept it. They should have just given Charmaine a baby special - we didn't need the rest," a user tweeted.

"Tell me you’re kidding... the damn season just started," another pointed out.

Here's hoping the health crisis settles sooner and the 'Black Ink Crew' can get to creating interesting content for its millions of fans.
