The much-awaited dark-comedy thriller film ‘Vengeance’ is releasing globally by July 29, 2022, in theaters.
What is the plot of ‘Vengeance’?
The plot revolves around a New York-based journalist and podcaster Ben Manalowitz (B J Novak) who is seen traveling to Texas in order to attend the funeral of a woman named Abilene (Issa Rae) he was seen briefly hooking up with. Whilst he arrives in Texas, Ben has a realization of Abilene’s family being in the impression that her ties to him were more serious than just casual.
The trailer is full of twists and turns. Initially whilst others believed that Abilene died from a drug overdose, Ben is told that she had been murdered and immediately gets roped into a vengeance plan. Ben doesn’t approach this case conventionally and turns it into a podcast. Initially with no evidence and proof to believe that it was a murder, later on, Ben believes that this all could be a cover-up. As he dives in deep to solve this mysterious murder case of Abilene, Ben starts to untangle a fabricated web of lies that help him in finding the real truth about Abilene’s death.
The official synopsis reads, “VENGEANCE, the directorial debut from writer and star B J Novak (“The Office”), is a darkly comic thriller about Ben Manalowitz, a journalist and podcaster who travels from New York City to West Texas to investigate the death of a girl he was hooking up with. The 42-years-old American comedian, director, writer and star B J Novak is best known as the writer, executive producer and director of the iconic NBC sitcom ‘The Office’. B J Novak is going to be seen playing the lead role of Ben in awaited dark-comedy thriller film ‘Vengeance’.
