CALGARY, CANADA: The highly anticipated fourth volume of 'Unsolved Mysteries' is already on the horizon, and viewers can expect to delve into the perplexing case of Amanda Antoni.

The upcoming docu-series on Netflix will explore the chilling discovery made by her husband, Lee Antoni, as he stumbled upon Amanda's lifeless body in their basement, surrounded by a pool of blood.

On October 26, 2015, Lee returned home after a brief absence to find his 31-year-old wife, Antoni, deceased in their Calgary home's basement. Authorities determined that Antoni had passed away approximately two days prior to being discovered.

At first, law enforcement officials noted indications of a possible violent altercation within the residence and deemed the circumstances surrounding the incident as "very suspicious." The Antonis had recently returned from a trip to San Francisco in the company of victim's mother and her spouse.

After an extensive investigation carried out by the homicide unit, authorities came to the conclusion that Amanda's death was the result of a fall down the stairs. Her puzzling death was cleverly masked as a tragic accident the police authorities. This determination was made after consulting with various experts, as stated in a press release issued by the Calgary police, according to CBC.

Amanda's family expressed profound sorrow and grief following her passing in a statement that was issued shortly thereafter. They described their overwhelming devastation at her death.

The family's statement read, "Amanda was a beautiful person who was taken from this world way too soon."

"Whether it was buying a meal for someone who was hungry and could not afford food, or brightening someone's day with her amazing smile, laugh, or kindness, she was an inspiration to those who knew her," the statement added.

Amanda Antoni's brother Darrell Hogg feels there's more to his sister's chilling death

In the beginning, authorities believed that Amanda's death was suspicious, noting signs of violence in her home. However, a year later, law enforcement officials changed their stance and concluded that she had simply fallen down the stairs.

Despite this new explanation, Antoni's brother, Darrell Hogg, remained unconvinced, expressing his gut feeling that there is more to the story.

"My gut is still telling me there's more to it. There's still a lot of stuff they can't answer," Amanda's brother Darrell said at that time, as per MSN.

Hogg expressed his family's hope that the recent episode of Netflix's upcoming docu-series 'Unsolved Mysteries' Volume 4 will lead to the discovery of new information or leads in the investigation of his sister's death.

"I guess we'll do our best not to get our hopes up, but at the same time we're excited to see what comes out of this. There's still some hope that we'll get to the bottom of what did happen," Hogg told the media outlet.

Lee expressed his inability to fall asleep, stating that he was utterly perplexed by the circumstances surrounding Amanda's death.

“I wish I could invent something that would get animals to speak, cause if Ruby (their dog) could speak right now everything would be solved cause she was there, Gizmo (their cat) was there," he added.

He continued, “Who would take her from me or us as a family, when she did nothing wrong, why does she deserve it she did nothing wrong and that’s what I don’t get. She never did anything wrong.”
