Tyler, The Creator, who is known for his intricate storytelling music videos and attractive artwork for his albums, is all set to gift fresh music to his fans and add another feather to his much-celebrated discography. The California native is gearing up to drop his sixth studio effort with ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’ for which he has been dropping subtle hints off-late.

The 30-year-old rapper’s latest album will be a follow-up to his Grammy-winning record ‘Igor’. The album released in 2019 featured guest appearances from top artists like Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Solange, Kanye West, and Jerrod Carmichael. The single ‘Earfquake’ from the same album peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming his highest-charting single. Speaking of new music, New Zealand crooner Lorde recently announced her third album called ‘Solar Power.’

Air time

Weeks after teasing his new project, Tyler, The Creator took to his official Twitter account to share the release date of ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’. According to his tweet, his latest project will hit the Internet on Friday, June 25. The album will be released via A Boy Is a Gun and Columbia Records.

How to live stream

Once released, fans will be able to enjoy ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’ on leading streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, and YouTube.

Concept

Just like his previous albums, the latest one is also written, composed and arranged by Tyler. He first teased his fans with the album when billboards with the phrase “Call Me If You Get Lost” followed by a telephone number started popping up in cities like Los Angeles, London and Paris. The hotline played snippets of the rapper’s new music and a voicemail conversation between Tyler and his mother.  He also revealed the cover art of the album which is a driving license featuring the close-up photo of the artist. The driving license very cleverly also mentions the release date of the new album.

Since winning his Grammy in January 2020, the rapper has released singles like ‘Group B’ and ‘Best Interest’ as well as the Coca-Cola jingle ‘Tell Me How’. He was also featured in a Gucci campaign and also collaborated with Channel Tres on the song ‘Fuego’ and Brent Faiyaz on ‘Gravity’.

Album trailer

To create hype for his sixth album, Tyler dropped a short teaser and titled it ‘Side Street’. The aesthetically rich video shows the rapper leaning on the bonnet of his Pink car as he kisses a girl while holding the leash of a dog.

Tracklist

The award-winning hip-hop artist is saving the tracklist for the very last minute as he has not shared any details on the same. However, Tyler has released two songs called ‘Lumberjack’ and ‘WussYaName’ and they are expected to make it to the official tracklist of ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’.  MEAWW will keep you updated with the tracklist.
