The latest episode of 'Treadstone' saw Tara Coleman (Tracy Ifeachor) fight against all odds and the people who killed her friend to stop a missile attack from taking place. She did lose out on her bargaining chip when it came to Stiletto Six, the Russian nuclear missile set to be sold in the black market.

However, she has now connected operation Treadstone to Stiletto Six and is on the hunt for information about it all. Tara is a journalist, whose reputation was ruined after she published a piece on the Russian nuclear missile Stiletto Six without being able to provide substantial proof.

After General Kwon (Tzi Ma) helped her get the access codes for funds the North Koreans were set to use to buy the missile from Yuri (Julian Kostov), Tara saw a chance at proving herself right. She got her friends Sebastian (Eric Kofi-Abrefa) and Meghan (Racheal Ofori) to help her, but in the process, Meghan was shot down by a mercenary and also took the access code from Tara.

She was shocked and fell heartbreaking grief, and yet she was not ready to give up. In this vein, Tara got in touch with her contact in Russia, Nolan (Set Sjöstrand), to check what he knew about Treadstone.

In episode 8, Tara arrived in Moscow, Russia; where she met up with Nolan and the two of them investigated Stiletto Six and Treadstone together. Nolan tells Tara Treadstone was part of the CIA's Black Pyre that involves human performance and enhancements.

When they dig deeper, they see Yuri is involved not just with Stiletto Six, but another Russian operation called The Cicada Protocol. Nolan after investigating further finds out that files about The Cicada Protocol were never digitized and so are kept at the Russian State Military Archive.

Nolan helps Tara with access to the archives and once Tara is in, she finds the files that are heavily redacted. However, Nolan, who receives the photographs of the files finds out that the only person who is connected to Yuri and still alive is a sergeant called Petra Andropov, who was a part of the Cicada Protocol operation.

They find her address and before Tara approaches Petra to talk to her, she places a call to CIA agent Matt Edwards. After going dark in pursuit of the truth behind Treadstone, now that Edwards is back in the base, he is kept under surveillance.

He is not trusted by Ellen Becker (Michelle Forbes) or Dan Levine (Michael Gaston) and so his calls are now being tapped. Everything that Tara communicates to Edwards is being overheard by the CIA who are dead-set on covering up Treadstone.

It is also clear Tara is the only one closest to the truth about the nefarious plot connecting Cicadas, Treadstone and Stiletto Six and now that Edwards has made the connection between Senator Eamon Wray (Tim Ahern) and Yuri, the puzzle is coming together.

However, will they survive to solve is the burning question. Tara is unaware of everything Petra has been through, especially now that she has been betrayed by Yuri, she is cynical and not in a state to trust anyone.

So, even if Tara survives the meeting, it is unclear if she will find out the truth about Yuri's connections to the Senator through Petra. For now, though, she has a better picture of how Stiletto Six, the Cicada Protocol and operation Treadstone tie-in together.
