BTS ARMY are back in the news once again as they flooded Twitter with hate-filled tweets. Soon the hashtag "ARMY_apologize" started to trend on Twitter but its purpose is not what you would expect.

"Why is #ARMY_apologize trending? I don’t understand," as a fan aptly questions, the result of the hashtag allegedly stemmed from several ARMY members sending death threat to fans of fellow K-pop group Astro. The BTS Army is calling out fellow fandoms, particularly Astro's Arohas, for attempting to sabotage BTS's chances of winning the Global Artist Award via the Starplay app.

Rather than an actual apology, a multitude of the fans are taking it upon themselves to send out sarcastic and fake apologies, replacing sincerity with an "apology" that BTS is successful in the music industry. Several comments also declare that the boyband "paved the way."

"I am sorry for streaming my faves and not letting them flop like yall" says a fan.

Several comments include a list of details why BTS is the most deserving group, more than any other in the entire world, with comments such as "I am so sorry that bts paved the way and that bts isn’t kpop and that btspop and that hobi said bts is the genre and that yoongi said he was an idol and reborn as an artist and that bts are kings of kpop and princes of pop" and "We are deeply sorry for voting fairly, for not cheating, for breaking all the records, btw, bts single out on august 21 hehe, we’re sorry, here’s an apology video i hope you forgive us.

"Anyways on behalf of the whole fandom, here’s our apology letter," says another fan.

If that wasn't enough, the comments just keep pouring in. One user on Twitter called them out for their behavior, saying, "Aren’t y’all tired yet? The same old attention-seeking bullshit, try streaming your favs more."

"As an army, im sorry. i really am. im sorry for keep breaking records here and there. Sorry for continuously bullying your faves on the chart, sorry if you hurt by the fact that BTS paved the way. Once again, im sorry."

Whatever the case may be, filling up a social media platform with sarcasm and fake apologies is not going to paint a good picture for BTS themselves. If you want to support your favorite artist or band online, that is all good and fair, but why the competition and additionally why destroy other fans if they have their own opinion? At the end of the day, it's all about the music and the artists themselves are a representation of that.
