If you're looking for some laughter, tuning into 'Tournament of Laughs', which premieres on TBS might be a waste of time. The show has Jason Sudeikis as the host with 32 comedians as they face off in an attempt to be funnier than their competitor.

The competitors have been broken up into four categories, with eight comedians per category: The East, The West, The South, and Unknown, Probably Canada. Beth Stelling will face off against Jeff Ross, Ian Edwards against Margaret Cho, The Sklar brothers against Yamaneika Saunders, and more. After the show, fans can vote for their favorite stand-up, song parodies, and other comedic performances — all self-created, produced and filmed by the comedian via phone.

At the end of the competition, a panel of comedy experts will take a call on who wins the championship. After it premiered, Twitter has been bursting with disappointment. "#TournamentofLaughs should be canceled. This is an embarrassment to comedy. Please cancel this show @TBSNetwork," one viewer wrote and another said, "My expectations for #TournamentofLaughs was the same as Trump's were heading to Tulsa. Results are equally disappointing."

One even went on to say that he's funnier in his sleep. "#TournamentofLaughs I'm funnier in my sleep wtf is this besides non-funny skits Jesus somebody really dropped the ball on this one," one wrote and another said, "I dunno how #TournamentofLaughs is gonna get any votes & see who moves on bc no one is gonna finish watching it....so disappointing."

"#TournamentofLaughs no laughs yet...about to give up. The problem is, as I see it, no one is really willing to address the elephant in the room, which is the absurdity of the lockdowns themselves. Just sad, scared clowns, mugging for their inquisitors," one wrote and another said, "My bf said 'this show has got to be the biggest flop of a TV show, ever. I hope Preacher Lawson just loses so I don’t have to watch this anymore. I don’t want to sit through this, again'."

"I have YET to laugh @TBSNetwork #TournamentofLaughs turning out to be super disappointing even with these heavy hitter comedians," one said and another wrote, "Okay, so i’m watching #TournamentofLaughs & wondering when exactly it’s supposed to start getting funny."

'Tournament of Laughs' premiered on Sunday, June 21 at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT. It’s also available to stream on FuboTV.
