'Total Bellas': Kathy says Nikki can't make up her mind, fears Artem may meet the same fate as John Cena
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev have been dating for a while and even though they are sure about the seriousness of their relationship, her family members seem to question the possibility of the relationship lasting long. In the latest episode (April 23) of 'Total Bellas' Kathy Laurinaitis had some plans for her birthday.
Kathy suggested she wanted a family photo taken on the occasion of her birthday but added that she did not want Artem in the picture. She justified her actions saying he was not family yet and she did not want him in the picture until things were permanent.
Brie Bella understood where this was coming from as she recalled having a picture from her wedding that had Nikki's ex John Cena in it. She revealed that she wanted to put the picture aside but that was the only picture she had with the entire family in it.
She suggested it made sense for Artem not to be involved. Kathy further suggested that Nikki can't make up her mind while adding she wanted something "timeless" for Nikki. While the family seems to understand why Kathy did not want Artem in the picture, the same was not appreciated by Nikki.
When Kathy broke the news about the family picture, Nikki was not happy about it. She thought her family was not accepting Artem into the family despite being aware of how serious their relationship was. Nikki reflected on how much Artem would be hurt if he found out that no one wanted him to be in the family picture. Kathy also felt upset about not having Artem in the family picture as she recognized what a wonderful man he was.
However, learning from what has happened in the past, Kathy seemed to be more cautious than before. She thought Artem could not be hurt if he did not know about the family picture. While she believed she has everything figured out, it did not look like Nikki was on the same page.
Nikki was already upset that her family does not take her relationship with Artem seriously and looking at this move, she seemed certain that Artem does not have a place in the family-like she hoped he would. Would this put a dent in this family?
