'Torchwood' fans have a major reason to rejoice as the show is finally returning for its sixth series, and of course — it's full of surprises all the way! With John Barrowman reprising his role as Captain Jack Harkness in 'Torchwood' — 'God Among Us', the new set of audio plays is all set to pick up where the previous season 'Aliens Among Us' had ended.
'Aliens Among Us' had released back in August of 2017 and was presented as the official fifth series of 'Torchwood'. Creator Russell T Davies had given the approval for the season which had come following the events of its predecessor, Miracle Day, courtesy of Big Finish.
The upcoming official sixth series — God Among Us — is going to showcase 'Torchwood' team once again faced with new alien troubles and of course an alien god. It is set to return shortly after the 'Aliens Among Us' finale, but reports reveal that not everyone has made it out alive post the battles of the last series.

"They are really great stories in series 6, they really move the narrative forward," said Barrowman, as Digital Spy reported. "We had such a great reaction to series 5, it's been a delight getting the cast back together to do more," producer James Goss said. "Now things are established the stories are more standalone, seeing 'Torchwood' face some tough challenges a plague of sleep, a city that goes blind, organizing a funeral, and then there's an alien god to deal with!"
While there's definitely a lot to look forward to in the upcoming series of 'Torchwood' as it is clear from the announcement of the first few episodes the mention of a funeral has also sent fans' minds reeling, wondering who they are going to lose this time.
