LONDON, ENGLAND: TMZ's new documentary titled 'Where is Kate Middleton?' delved into the mysterious disappearance of Kate Middleton and explored the reasons behind her noticeable absence from public view since Christmas day.

In recent weeks, there has been a significant increase in online searches for information relating to Kate Middleton's health and whereabouts. This surge in interest can be attributed to the news of her undergoing abdominal surgery in January 2024, as well as a controversial photoshopped image of her and her children circulating on Mother's Day.

The Princess of Wales has been noticeably absent from public appearances, with only occasional sightings of her outside her residence. This prolonged period of seclusion has sparked curiosity and concern among royal watchers and the general public alike.

In its latest documentary, TMZ closely scrutinized how Kensington Palace managed the crisis, which involved a highly publicized photoshop blunder, a multitude of speculations, and conspiracy theories on various social media platforms.

What surgery did Kate Middleton get?

On January 17, 2024, Kensington Palace made a rare, intimate announcement regarding Kate Middleton's well-being, disclosing that she had undergone surgery for an abdominal issue and was currently hospitalized.

Although the palace did not disclose the specific nature of the surgery, they did mention that her recovery period would extend beyond Easter, suggesting that she would not make any public appearances until after March 31.

"The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery, " the official statement from Kensington Palace read.

Kate Middleton quietly resumes work amid surgery recovery

After undergoing abdominal surgery in January 2024, Kate Middleton made the decision to temporarily step back from her royal duties. However, even during her recovery period, she has been closely monitoring a study that was commissioned and financially supported by her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

This study focused on testing the practicality and effectiveness of a novel baby behavior observation tool within the United Kingdom. The Princess of Wales has demonstrated a genuine dedication to the advancements in early childhood development and has eagerly awaited the results of this research endeavor.

According to a statement provided to the Telegraph by a spokesperson from the Palace, it was revealed that Kate has been consistently informed and kept up-to-date on every aspect of the ongoing process.

As per the Institute of Health Visiting, the 10-month study concluded on March 21 and yielded highly positive results. The trial focused on evaluating infants' social behaviors during routine health visits using two tools: the Alarm Distress Baby Scale (ADBB) and its shorter version, the m-ADBB.

The participating health workers expressed their satisfaction with both training programs and acknowledged that they acquired additional knowledge and skills in effectively communicating their observations.

Kate has always had a strong interest in conducting research and engaging in philanthropic efforts focused on children. This passion has only grown stronger since becoming a mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, whom she shares with her husband, Prince William. 

In 2021, she established the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, building on the success of her Early Years charitable initiative that she introduced two years prior.
