Eric Nam is a K-pop soloist who crosses generations, with second-gen fans rooting for him on the K-pop version of ‘X Factor’ in 2011 to fourth-gen fans tuning in for his ‘Dive’ podcasts and interviews. Debuting in 2013, the Korean-American idol has an immensely popular career, having dabbled in everything. Nam has also been awarded by MAMA, KBS and MBC Awards, along with Forbes selecting him for their ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ list and winning the 2016 GQ Korea’s ‘Men of the Year’. And now he’s ready to celebrate the new year with a new album and world tour.

With he becoming a free agent in 2021, we have been getting a barrage of content from the ‘Runaway’ singer. We got tons of pre-released singles from Eric Nam’s upcoming second album ‘There And Back Again’ which is all in English. And on January 7, 2022, he has finally dropped the album with its lead single ‘Lost On Me’. Described as ‘irresistibly catchy’ and ‘sleek’, the pop album also boasts Nam’s long-time collaborator Rabitt, the Grammy and Emmy-nominated producer who had also worked on ‘Any Other Way’ and ‘I Don’t Know You Anymore’. Rabitt has also worked with the likes of Kiiara, Epik High and Ingrid Andress in the past.

Eric Nam drops music video for ‘Lost On Me’

Directed by Scott Lazer, Eric Nam dropped a scenic music video for ‘Lost On Me’. Like the peppy and carefree music video, the ‘There And Back Again’ is quite different from his past releases as it’s his first piece of music as an independent artist. Nam shared, “There And Back Again' is my first album I’m putting out as an independent artist. It’s definitely taken a while to get to this point and to be honest, it was a very tough process, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out and hopefully my fans and listeners will feel the same. I’m looking forward to seeing how people connect with the new sounds and to see fans on the road.”

At the same time, the K-pop idol is preparing for his next world tour. Eric Nam had his first North American tour in 2018 followed by his first world tour in 2020. Unfortunately, the North American and Latin American parts of the tour got canceled due to the pandemic. Well, with things getting under control, to mark the celebration of ‘There And Back Again’ album, he has announced the ‘There And Back Again World Tour 2022’. To make up for the long wait, Nam has added 46 different cities with more to come due to the high demand and with 95% of the tour being sold out.
