The World's Best: The TNT Boys talk about dream-come-true performance with Ariana Grande and representing the Philippines
After their dream-come-true appearance on 'The Late Late Show' MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) caught up with The TNT Boys about their recent experiences
'The World's Best' recently premiered after Super Bowl LIII on CBS. And with just four episodes aired to date, the series is giving its audience their much-needed dose of entertainment and has viewers rooting for their favorites. The show is hosted by famous talk show host James Corden. Joining the judging panel is actress Drew Barrymore, drag star RuPaul Charles, and Singer Faith Hill.
Apart from the main judges, the show has 50 experts known as 'Wall of the World' who will help the judges make a decision. These 50 experts are professionals in various fields of entertainment and hail from all over the world. While the battle rounds commenced Wednesday, one particular boy band from the top 24 made headlines for their appearance on James Corden's 'The Late Late Show.' The TNT Boys appeared on the show and performed 'And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going'.

The TNT Boys, also known as 'The Big Shot Trio,' are made up of three pre-to early teenage boys, who rose to fame after appearing and being finalists on 'Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids,' a Filipino reality TV competition in 2017. The band members are Keifer Sanchez, 14, Mackie Empuerto, 13, and Francis Concepcion, 12.
During their performance, they were surprised by one of their favorite singers, who has also been in the news recently. And that is none other than Ariana Grande. The 'Thank U, Next' singer joined the boys on stage and performed along with them.
When the boys noticed Grande, they were lost for words and stunned. After their appearance on 'The Late Late Show' MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) got in touch with The TNT Boys and spoke to them regarding their appearance on The World's Best, and the moment they met Ariana Grande.
Starting off, the boys revealed how happy they were to be in Los Angeles. Despite their long flight, the boys revealed they are having fun in LA and love the food. Diving straight into the topic of them meeting Grande, the boys revealed how speechless they were the singer appeared on stage during their performance. "When Ariana Grande came out, I didn't know what to do. My heart was beating really fast. I didn't know what to say or think," revealed 12-year-old Francis.

Adding to that, 14-year-old Keifer Sanchez said, "When Ariana Grande surprised us, I was staring at her till the song was finished. And she said that my voice is healthy and that she liked my hair." It was a dream come true for the young boy-band to meet on of their favorite singers. Elaborating, the boys revealed Grande told them she loved their voices and their singing.
Following that, we asked The TNT Boys how it felt to perform for the first time on The World's Best stage and in front of the judges. They revealed, "It was an honor to be asked to perform on The World's Best stage. We are so proud of ourselves because we get to represent our band and our country and make them happy."
During their first audition performance on The World's Best, The TNT Boys received an almost perfect score of 99/100. When we asked the boys if they expected that score, they said, "No, we didn't expect to get the highest score on The World's Best. We were just going to expect 84, 82, or 75."
Describing their experience on The World's Best the boys said, "When we're filming, we're a bit nervous. But we are so proud to represent the Philippines. And we are happy because we are having so much fun and we get to make new friends from other countries."
The TNT Boys will be performing February 27 during the Battle Rounds. And while we wait to see their performance, we have our fingers crossed hoping they would make it through the next round.
