LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The world of fantasy opens a whole new door of unlimited opportunities to the imaginations visualized on screen. The fantasy elements are portrayed wonderfully in books, several movies and series, have taken it as source material to produce some of the most memorable franchises. Some fantasy movies and series based on books include 'Narnia', 'Harry Potter' and 'Game of Thrones'. Moreover, in 2021, Amazon Prime released a stunning fantasy series 'The Wheel of Time' based on the books of the same name by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

Faile Bashere's entry

The new character from the book that is said to be appearing in the upcoming second season is Faile Bashere. Falie is a Saldaean noblewoman, who sets out to Illian. From a very young age, Faile never accustomed herself to the norms that a woman has to follow in Saldaean. Instead, she learned to train and combat and Falie becomes well-versed both in hand-to-hand combat and fighting with knives. She then travels to Illian after a family tragedy and reassumes her name as Mandarb to become a Hunter of the Horn. Falie is great at public administration and manipulation. Faile later would marry Perrin Aybara and become Queen of Saldaea.

'The Wheel of Time' Season 1 ending

Season 1 of 'The Wheel of Time' ends on a high note. Rand attacks the Dark One and goes into hiding. Moiraine is in a weaker state now and found by Lan, to whom Moiraine tells that this was not the last battle. On the other side of the west, a fleet of ships arrives, carrying several channellers, who generate a powerful wave with their powers. If Season 2 were to introduce Faile, the character would be a strengthening addition to the storyline.

On the other hand, 'The Wheel of Time' is said to have deviated from the original source material in the opening season. So whether they follow the same story arc for Faile is yet to be known. And Faile first appeared in book 3 titled, 'The Dragon Reborn' and if the show were to introduce the character in the upcoming season, there should be a separate storyline for Faile that would later connect with the main story with the Hunter of the Horn storyline and subsequently meet Perrin.

The introduction of Faile is speculated by WoT up! YouTube channel and there have not been any official announcements regarding the introduction of the new character yet. However, we have to wait until Season 2 drops to gather more information. The Season 2 of this fantasy show is set to premiere sometime this year. It is to be noted that Season 3 of 'The Wheel of Time' has already been confirmed and there is a lot of room to introduce and develop newer characters.

'Season 1' of 'The Wheel of Time' is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
