The teens in 'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' have known nothing but the apocalypse for nearly all of their lives. It's been 10 years of living with the constant threat of walkers at their gates, with a school curriculum that includes self-defence against the undead. These teens have grown up with an entirely new kind of normal, but a pre-apocalypse world isn't far enough away for the group not to wonder what high school would have been like if they hadn't to worry about getting their throats ripped out by a zombie horde.

On the last episode of 'World Beyond', Felix Carlucci (Nico Tortorella) and Huck (Annet Mahendru) finally caught up with the group of errant teams, helping them get safely past the Blazy of Gory, and are now accompanying them on their trip to New York. It's going to be a long trip, however, and safe passage requires shelter, leading the group to an abandoned high school in the next episode. While there, the teens will experience a little sehnsucht - nostalgia for a life that they've never had. What kind of high school lives would they have led, before the apocalypse ended all life as they knew it?

One thing's for sure - whatever that high school may have been like, it's a deadly threat right now for those who aren't careful. The promo for the next episode shows wolves at the door (literally), and walkers a'plenty who've eschewed an education in favor of chewing on a fresh new class of recruits. What may seem like the perfect fortification from outside threats can quickly turn into a trap that the group may not escape from. The teens have been notoriously bad at dealing with walker threats on their own - but now they're reunited with Felix and Huck, they might just have more of a fighting chance.

The synopsis for the episode, entitled 'The Wrong End of a Telescope', reads "The group seeks shelter from a storm inside an abandoned high school; while re-supplying, they imagine what high school life was once like and encounter new threats both living and dead."
