'The Voice' Season 24: Who won between Olivia Minogue and Laura Williams? NBC slammed for cutting short Battles
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Team Niall Horan's singers Olivia Minogue and Laura Williams' Battles round was cut short as 'The Voice' Season 24's Tuesday night episode made its way to YouTube. For those who couldn't catch up with the clip, Olivia was announced the winner of the Battle.
None of the judges came ahead to steal Laura, therefore, she was eliminated from the show. A full video of their performance was not shown on NBC's competition show.
Fans, therefore, slammed NBC for montaging the Battle as they asserted their wish to see full performances. A fan slammed the streaming platform, saying, "Bruh stop it with the montages I wanted to see the full performance. It sounded so good!!"
Another commented, "Who agrees there should not be these really short videos? Even though Olivia was really good updater that Laura was gone though!" In response to this, a fan declared, "It’s just not fair. Shorten some of the coach interactions and make sure all performances are shown in full!!"
A fan called the montages "disrespectful" toward the artists. "Many people that got montaged…extremely disrespectful. Many four chairs got eliminated and montaged too, first JaRae and now Laura," commented the fan.
A fan claimed, "They been doing this since first season of the voice, they do it to make people mad, there no copy right or nothing, they do this on purpose."
Another angry fan wrote, "Getting sick of the shortened and montage battles. I don't watch the show to see them rehearse, I watch it to see them perform."

In the short video of Olivia and Laura's battle, we saw both the singers singing Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' together. Soon after their performance, Niall was seen complimenting Olivia and choosing her without saying a word about Laura.
He said, "Olivia, you're such a solid, solid singer." He added, "I have to go gut feeling, thinking about next rounds." Without any hesitation, Niall declared, "The winner of this battle is Olivia."
From Laura's face, it seemed she already feared she would get eliminated from the show.

Being teary in the clip following her being chosen, Olivia claimed, "Niall chose me, which means so much." She added, "I knew that I was gonna be emotional."
Seeing Olivia grow from the audition round to Battles round has been a surprising journey for Niall in the best of ways. Therefore, the coach is excited to see what she will be doing in the 3-way Knockouts.
'The Voice' Season 24 airs at 8 pm ET on Mondays and 9 pm ET on Tuesdays on NBC.
