'The Voice' Season 24: Viewers slam coach John Legend as Kaylee Shimizu gets eliminated in Playoffs
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: For the Playoffs, Kaylee Shimizu sang 'You Put a Move on My Heart' by Quincy Jones and Tamia. Fans are outraged as the young talent bid farewell to 'The Voice' in November, alleging she was "robbed".
John Legend chose 'You Put a Move on My Heart' as Kaylee's next song because she's one of the few singers in the competition who can hit the big notes, and he believed this would showcase all of her ability at the ideal time.
After the vocals were completed, John wanted Kaylee to focus on emotionally relating to the song despite her young age.
On X, one viewer wrote, "I know Azan did a great job tonight. But LONG TERM, Kaylee was the better choice."
Another added, "Every year, there's ALWAYS an artist robbed of making it further in The Voice. And this year, it's Kaylee Shimizu."

Ultimately, as long as Mac is in, I ain’t really mad. In fact, if he was really bout it, he could have just let him go and signed him so he can start his for real career.
