'The Voice' Season 24: Mara Justine's 'most boring' semifinal performance reminds fans of a 'chipmunk'
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Niall Horan enjoyed the fan pick of Chris Stapleton's "Parachute" for Mara Justine because it allows her to shine. Fans, on the other hand, were left deeply dissatisfied after finding the singer "not authentic" following her semifinal performance on 'The Voice' Season 24.
Niall goes on to remark, "It's important to get the story across before you start belting."

Mara's confidence was noted by Niall, who described his performance as "unbelievable." "That is crazy," Niall adds. "It’s a completely different side to you."
John was ecstatic because Mara struck notes he'd never heard her hit before, and he enjoyed the fact that she was revealing new aspects of herself as an artist with each passing week.
"I've never heard you hit notes like that," her former coach, John, adds. "I have some regrets!"
On Reddit however, fans expressed, "Mara just doesn't hit me as authentic...she's too over something." While another user chimed in, "Niall even told her in the rehearsal that she doesn't connect to the songs enough."
One user also wrote, "Yeahhh I don’t get the Mara hype." A fourth user commented, "I think Mara is very talented but this song/performance isn’t one of her exciting ones to me."
Some commented, "I felt nothing. She was just loud tonight idk." "Something about Mara man…can’t put my finger on it," wrote another.
One user also wrote, "She reminds me of a chipmunk and I can't see past it." Another user added, "This is Mara’s worst performance."
Who is Mara Justine on 'The Voice' Season 24?
Raised in a close-knit Italian family, Mara sang Whitney Houston's 'Greatest Love of All' at her first competition when she was just 9 years old.
Everything fell into place once she won, and she began to perform at sporting events and charity functions.
These days, Mara performs at neighborhood eateries and pubs around the Jersey Shore, and her whole family attends.
Linda, Mara's mother, was given an early breast cancer diagnosis and is the one who keeps the family together by making every effort to be there for her children even when they endure radiation, chemotherapy, and/or surgery.
Linda wishes to complete her adventure with breast cancer as soon as possible, without missing any of Mara's.
Mara Justine was part of 'American Idol' Season 16 squad
Mara's audition for 'American Idol' saw her singing 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going.' Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted 'Yes,' sending Mara to Judgment Week.
She informed the judges at the time that it had been her "dream to audition" for the program since she was a child.
Mara did not garner enough votes to make it to the Final 6, therefore eliminating her from the competition. Mara participated on 'American Idol' Season 16 and was eliminated in the Top 14.
Mara Justine auditioned for 'America's Got Talent' at 11
Mara auditioned for 'American Idol' before moving on to 'America's Got Talent' during Season 9. She was just 11 years old at the time. She reached the top 12 of 'AGT' before being eliminated.
