'The Voice' Season 24: Gwen Stefani fears Huntley will win NBC show after his performance against Brailey Lenderman in Battles
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: The upcoming episode 'The Voice' Season 24 will mark the end of the Battles round and commence Knockouts. Ahead of the final Battles, NBC released a preview clip of Huntley and Brailey Lenderman's Battles.
Both the singers stunned the judges. Even though the winner of the Battles was not announced in the preview clip, fans spilled the spoilers in the comments, with one declaring, "SPOILER: HUNTLEY WIN, NO ONE STEAL BRAILEY."
Another claimed, "Huntley sounds like the Pearl Jam singer to me. I’m not a fan of the braids." One commented, "Huntley won and Brailey didn't got stolen." A fan claimed, "Huntley has a certain kind of sexiness about him."
Another called the singer, "Huntley is a TEN! He’s still mimicking and doesn’t have his own style/voice sadly. She, however is wayyyy to twangy country to pull this song off! Boooooooooooo!"
Another said, "I don't think that was a particular good song choice for Huntley, but he still killed it, especially on the chorus. It's either him or Ruby for the win; probably Ruby because she will get extra support just for being part of Reba's team."
After seeing Huntely sing so passionately, Gwen Stefani said, "I'm worried that you might win the show." Gwen was mesmerized by Huntley's "precision and perfection." She said, "It's hard to believe."
Huntley and Brailey Lenderman sang 'Hold My Hand'
Team Niall Horan's singers Brailey and Huntley sang their rendition of 'Hold My Hand' by Hootie & The Blowfish. Listening to Huntley and Brailey's soulful voice, Niall said to Gwen Stefani, "That is the best they've done it," in response to her calling the performance "amazing" and saying she was "not expecting that."
Niall believed their singing was "unbelievable." The coach then went on to praise Huntley's stage presence, calling it "insane."
Moreover, Niall pointed out how to Brailey how she is "gets nervous" ahead of most of her performances. Yet, he believed that did not happen during this particular performance. Niall said to her, "You were absolutely on fire up there."
John Legend believes it was 'challenge' for Brailey Lenderman to be against Huntley
John Legend believes both singers are equally talented. However, after listening to their Battles round, John said to Brailey, "The challenge is you were against Huntley."
John believed the energy and magnetism that Huntely conveys during his performances attracts people toward him. The coach there is "something special" about the crackle in Huntley's voice.
While none of the coaches had anything bad to say about Brailey, it seemed like all of them sided with Huntley toward the end.
'The Voice' Season 24 airs at 8 pm ET on Mondays and 9 pm ET on Tuesdays on NBC.
