'The Voice' Season 24: Fans disappointed as Olivia Minogue gets booted in 3-way Knockout Battle against Nini Iris without a steal

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Nini Iris won the latest 3-way Knockout Battle on 'The Voice' Season 24 against Olivia Minogue and AZÁN. As coach Niall Horan had to make a difficult decision, fans were sad, especially Olivia, who had to depart without earning a steal.

Olivia chose a daring song to demonstrate her vocal "versatility" and ability to explore genres beyond what one might anticipate. Although at times her note stretches became stuck to the ceiling of her range, she still gave the infamously difficult song her all with energy and attitude, breaking through in some impressive spots.

Reba McEntire cherished Olivia's company, while Gwen Stefani was enthralled with Nini above the other two. John Legend, meanwhile, had a prejudice in favor of AZÁN.

Niall's intuition informed him that Nini, who had a unique skill, was the competitor he should choose.

On X, fans noted, "Congrats Nini... Thought Olivia or Azan would be stolen..." Another user chimed in, "I wish someone saved her. Feel like we didn’t see much of her during the competition especially since he segment was cut short the week before."

"This girl should have been picked," wrote another. A fourth user tweeted, "Olivia and Azan were amazing can’t believe they’re going home.'

One user further complained, "Were there live background singers for Olivia? They messed up her performance, man!" Another person added, "omg idk how u can pick in this knockout I love Azan but Olivia was sooooo good."

Dan + Shay noted that AZÁN had "that intangible thing" and "star power" during her rehearsal; guest coach Wynonna Judd found her to be "sexy." Both coaches felt that there might have been a bit more connection made between the artist and the audience.

In fact, her fun delivery, which included pointing at the red chairs at appropriate points and taking a chance with note riffs, enhanced her stage presence and had the four coaches dancing along with her.

Nini stood out from the rest during the Dan + Shay rehearsals with her choice of "dark pop" song, especially when she finished on a note so high that dogs could hear it.

Her tone was really strong at the knockouts, building to a melancholic crescendo that she sold with a powerful belt that had Niall stomping his feet with joy.

It was not just a strong performance, but also a wise one since she made a number of crucial decisions that suited her. Niall said he's going with his gut feeling, even though it's "not fair" to pick one of the three vocalists.

Nini Iris becomes victorious!

"I choose Nini as the winner of this knockout because she's supernatural," Niall stated. "I actually believe Nini could win this whole thing."
