‘The Voice’ Season 20 journey so far

In six episodes, viewers got to witness a lot of drama amongst the judges and it is only going to get chaotic in the coming episodes. To reiterate, all the judges have completed their respective teams before the Battles round premiere. If we talk about Blake Shelton, the renowned country singer has picked contestants Aaron Konzelman, Cam Anthony, Ethan Lively, Pete Mroz, Avery Roberson, Connor Christian, Emma Caroline, Jordan Matthew Young, Savanna Chestnut and Keegan Ferrell for his team. Kelly Clarkson also picked what she felt was best for her team. Contestants namely Corey Ward, Gean Garcia,, Kenzie Wheeler, Gihanna Zoe, Halley Greg, JD Casper, Ryleigh Modig, Anna Grace, Savanna Woods and Ainae .

When it comes to choosing the talent, John Legend was extremely picky. The Grammy award-winning crooner chose singers Carolina Rial, Christine Cain, Victor Solomon, Ciana Pelekai, Deion Warren, Durell Anthony, Pia Renee, Rio Doyle, Zania Alake and Denisha Dalton from different episodes. Nick, on the other hand, was elated to be back on the show for the second time. Viewers thoroughly enjoyed the hilarious banter between him and Blake Shelton. Speaking of his team, he opted for contestants namely Dana Monique, Devan Blake Jones, Raine Stern, Zae Romeo, Andrew Marshall, Bradley Sinclair, Jose Figueroa Jr., Lindsay Joan, Rachel Mac, and Awari to complete his season 20 team.

What to expect from Battles premiere?

The Battles round on ‘The Voice’ will air on March 29, 2021. In this round, each judge will pick two or three contestants to sing the same song together on the stage. Then, as per the rules of the competition, the respective judge will choose one winner out of that lot from each face-off with an intention to send him/her in the next phase. The other three coaches will also have an option of “steal” which will allow them to snatch a contestant who loses in the face-off.

Also, fans will miss Kelly Clarkson’s appearance on the Battles premiere episode as she is not keeping the best of health. Country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini will replace the judge for the episode. For the unversed, Ballerini has a lot of experience in being a mentor on ‘The Voice’. She appeared as a fifth coach for singers on the 'Comeback Stage' segment on Season 15 and was Team Kelly's celebrity mentor during Season 16.
