‘The Voice’ Season 19: Team Blake’s Taryn Papa makes it to Top 17, fans ask ‘what happened to Ryan Gallagher’

During the episode, we got to know that Ryan Gallagher had to pull out. The reason for the same was not revealed but he will no longer be part of the competition

Episode 11 of Season 19 of ‘The Voice’ kept fans hooked last week with a lot of drama happening on stage and as we moved to Episode 12, we finally saw the premiere of the season’s play-offs. However, before the play-offs from Team Kelly began, last week's votes from the four-way knockout were announced by the show’s host Carson Daly.

The viewers saw Ryan Gallagher, Larriah Jackson, Marisa Corvo and Taryn Papa locking horns on the stage with their solo performances and as the votes came in, Taryn Papa from Blake Shelton’s team was crowned as the winner from the 4-way knockout. During the episode, we also got to know Ryan Gallagher had to pull out. The reason for the same was not revealed but he will no longer be part of the competition. Coming back to Taryn Papa, she was shocked and ecstatic after she scored the maximum votes in the 4-way knockout and just like any other mentor, Blake Shelton was equally proud of the feat.

The Internet was quick to react to the news of Taryn Papa making it to the top 17. Speaking on the same, one user asserted, “@TarynPapa congratulate Taryn on making the top 17 tonight and I wanna tell you this was the toughest decision I made with my voice app team and I have left u out of my top 3 and finale team and I'm am rooting for you to win and do well in the competition.”

One user posted, “#TheVoice I like Taryn but she had my least favorite performance in the four way sing off. She oversang it! Hopefully she does better tonight.” Another added, “How did Julia not win?? Taryn was the worst of them all smh.” One person stated, “Some of these commenters should rewatch Taryn’s battle performance “Little White Church” against the trio. This lady can sing her a** off!” One posted, “This makes me so sad! Ryan was the best singer this year!” Another expressed, “She was the worst one in the four way.  How could this be?”  One added, “Omg! I haven’t watched. What about Ryan Gallagher???? I am absolutely stunned. He is out of this world. This show needs him!!! Oh man I am not happy.”

After the four-way knockout announcement, singers from Team Kelly kicked-off the play-offs. For the uninitiated, from the top 17 contestants, only nine contestants will steer ahead in the show.  After the broadcast of Episode 11, Team Kelly stands strong with contestants namely Desz, Madeline Consoer, Tanner Gomes, and Cami Clune. Ryan Gallagher was sent to the 4-way knockout.

Team Gwen currently has Payge Turner, Ben Allen, Joseph Soul and the young lad Carter Rubin. Larriah Jackson was chosen as the 4-way knockout contestant. Tamara Jade, Bailey Rae, Chloe Hogan, and John Holiday are currently part of John Legend’s team. Julia Cooper was picked for the first slot of 4-way knockout. Blake Shelton on the other handpicked Taryn Papa for the 4-way knockout. His other team members include the mother-daughter trio Worth the Wait, Sid Kingsley, Jim Ranger and Ian Flanigan.

‘The Voice’ Season 19 is hosted by Carson Daly. All the episodes will be aired on NBC. Fans can also catch the singing reality show on the official website of NBC and on their official app along with the network's new streaming service Peacock.  Also, we will see Nick Jonas returning as a judge on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in Season 20 replacing Gwen Stefani. The American crooner earlier sat on the big red chair in Season 18.
