John Legend’s current team in Season 19 of ‘The Voice’ boasts Tamara Jade, John Holiday and Bailey Rae. The latter is the only country singer left in his team as the show has now reached the semi-finals. The 18-year-old crooner from Oklahoma performed twice in the semi-finals - one as a trio set with Cami Clune and John Holiday on the song ‘Pompeii’ by Bastille and another, as a solo performer where she exhibited her skills on the song ‘Georgia On My Mind’ by Ray Charles.

Bailey, who had quite an interesting journey in the competition so far, got a thumbs up from all the judges but her coach John Legend made her feel special by telling her that she is the only country singer left on his team and he is very excited to coach her. The Internet was also quick to react to her solo and trio performance. Bailey got mixed reactions from ‘The Voice’ viewers where some of them praised her while others were not impressed.

One user said, “Weekly #TheVoice post. I'm a fan of #TeamLegend. But how is Bailey Rae still in it? Her performance last week was by far the weakest. Lauren Frihauf was far more deserving to be the "small town girl." Tonight's performance didn't do it for me again & I love me some Ray Charles!”. One posted, “Honestly Bailey Rae that was your best performance yet. You did some things artistically and vocally that I didn't think you could do. You have stepped outside the box and have explored yourself and what you can do. Great job tonight! Great coach! Go #TeamLegend @johnlegend”.

Another added, “John Holiday, Cami Clune, Bailey Rae keeping the uptempo coming. Yes! Not the best in Baileys solo, having problems with the cadences. The other two brought their best flavors to the mix. #TheVoice #VoiceTop9” One fan shared, “Bailey Rae reminds me of Patsy Cline! She has such an amazing tone and soulfulness. #TheVoice”.One asserted, “I like Bailey Rae but I don't know about this arrangement -- though you can't say her voice wasn't strong #TheVoice”

From the previous episode of the last week, we saw only the best nine moved ahead in the competition from the slot of top 17. One member from each team was voted through by America and each coach then had an opportunity to save another artist they wanted to move forward. The lucky ones were Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger from Team Blake, Carter Rubin and Ben Allen from Team Gwen, John Holiday, Tamara Jade and Bailey Rae from Team Legend and Desz and Cami Clune from Team Kelly. The finale of ‘The Voice’ is scheduled for December 15, 2020.
