The Season 19 of the singing reality show, ‘The Voice’, has reached semi-finals where we saw Desz, Jim Ranger and Carter Rubin hitting the stage as a first trio of the evening. For the unversed, Desz is from Team Kelly, Jim Ranger, who already showed his skills in a solo performance in the same episode, comes from Team Blake whereas, the 14-year-old Carter Rubin belongs to Team Gwen.

The trio covered the hit number ‘Willy Go Round in Circles’ by Billy Preston and easily managed to mesmerise the judges with their magical performance. Even though all three have a different style of singing, they managed to be in sync with each other while having fun at the same time. The uptempo song absolutely suited their personality in the latest episode. Carson Daly, who is hosting the current season of the singing reality show, also explained that the contestant with top votes from each team will advance to the finale in the next episode and the rest of the singers will perform for the instant save. It simply means that each coach will have at least one artist singing next week for the win.

Coming back to the trio’s set for the evening, the Internet was quick to react to their performance where a lot of them praised Carter for standing out even at such a young age. One user stated, “Organization I loved this trio, heck YES!!! Carter you are just amazing to go toe to toe with those 2 at your age young man, OUTSTANDING! AND Desz and Jim you slayed that song Musical note! So proud of you 3.” One said, “I thought Carter's voice will be tempered by Jim and Desz, but he can hold his own here. Very nice. #TheVoice” Another added, “Carter Rubin, Desz, and Jim Ranger picking up the tempo and be ringing some energy to #TheVoice #VoiceTop9 They were all having and good time and Erivo aesthetic well. I love when everyone shines. Perfection! Sang them licks, Carter I hear you.” One posted, “This Carter/Desz/Jim trio I didn't think would work but it's WORKING (but Carter and Desz are STEALING THE SHOW) #TheVoice” Another individual asserted, “@NBCTheVoice Carter is amazing!  He should win it all!”

From the previous episode of the last week, we saw only the best nine moved ahead in the competition from the slot of top 17. One member from each team was voted through by America and each coach then had an opportunity to save another artist they wanted to move forward. The lucky ones were Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger from Team Blake, Carter Rubin and Ben Allen from Team Gwen, John Holiday, Tamara Jade and Bailey Rae from Team Legend and Desz and Cami Clune from Team Kelly. The finale of ‘The Voice’ is scheduled for December 15, 2020.

All the episodes will be aired on NBC. Fans can also catch the singing reality show on the official website of NBC and on their official app along with the network's new streaming service Peacock.  Also, we will see Nick Jonas returning as a judge on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in Season 20 replacing Gwen Stefani. The American crooner earlier sat on the big red chair in Season 18.
