'The Voice' Season 19: Fans feel Hailey should've got at least 1 chair turn, encourage her to return next year

With a naturally raspy voice like that of Janis Joplin, 14-year-old Hailey Green shocked the coaches with her beautiful rendition of 'Soulshine' by The Allman Brothers Band. After hearing her performance, the coaches had to double-check with her to ensure that her voice was that raspy naturally. Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton commented about how nobody can coach someone's voice to get that raspy, and praised her for it.

Gwen Stefani and John Legend, however, found some flaws in her performance and pointed them out. So, it came as no surprise that Hailey didn't receive a chair turn from any of the judges during the blind audition round. But the judges felt that with a little more practice, the young singer can definitely make it big. They encouraged her to work on her pitch, and get back next year.

While the coaches were convinced that Hailey wasn't ready yet, fans don't seem to share the same sentiment. Several fans felt that Hailey had a great voice, and should have received at least one chair turn. A fan tweeted, "Should have turned for the fourteen year old girl. #TheVoice." "@NBCTheVoice @kellyclarkson @gwenstefani @johnlegend @blakeshelton some of the ppl y'all turned for and y'all didn't turn for Hailey," wrote another fan. A fan commented, "She should’ve at least got one chair to turn the whole point of the voice is to help coach and make stars. She could’ve easily been a hit had one coach turn around and coached properly and she’s only 14." "I thought she deserved a chair turn. The coaches are there to assist and help her be her best potential.," expressed another fan.

Despite not making it this season, fans are still eager to see Hailey on the big stage. Several fans encouraged the young singer to come back next year and audition once again. A fan shared, "@NBCTheVoice I can’t believe Hailey is in only 14! Her voice is so good! I hope she auditions again. #HeyCas." "@HaileyGreen122 Hailey, you MUST COME BACK to audition for the Voice Next year! Your voice will absolutely ROCK the competition! Be encouraged and keep your head up and WORK hard at perfecting your talent!" wrote a fan.
