The blind auditions continued with a dimly lit stage on 'The Voice' Season 18 and only the sound of a voice carried over. An opera singer took on 'Time to Say Goodbye' and her classical skills are very apparent.

Kelly Clarkson hit her button first and got on her feet soon after. As the lights came on, we finally got to meet Mandi Thomas from Memphis, Tennessee. She nailed those extremely high, head voice notes.

After she finished her stunning performance, Nick Jonas said he had "goosebumps the entire time" and all the coaches agreed. However, none of the coaches have the skill to work with an opera singer, apart from Kelly. She has long said that she really hopes to see some talent with classical or opera training audition and she finally got her wish granted.

Fellow coach Blake Shelton added that he didn't "have a clue" about the genre, but Mandi responded saying she could do anything, even country.

Kelly said that is one of the best things about opera singers, that they can navigate so many different genres. Mandi, who has been classically trained since the age of 11, is definitely primed to do just that. Mandi added that opera allows her to truly showcase emotion through her voice, which is what draws her to the style.

She also added that the coach she wanted to work with was Kelly, and all the coaches agreed that Kelly is the perfect coach for her. Kelly pointed out that Mandi has absolutely no competition on the show. Her classical training and skill make her a unique competitor on the show, she said.

It will be exciting to see what songs and genres Mandi will work with in the future.

Catch Mandi and other contestants on 'The Voice' Season 18 on NBC at 8 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.
