John Legend steals old school singer Zach Day from Kelly Clarkson, and fans call it the right choice.

'The Voice' Season 18 returned with Night 2 of the blind auditions on Tuesday, and the coaches get ready for a friendly rivalry as they battle to get the best singers on their team. Carson Daly returns as the host, with Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend returned to their chairs, alongside Nick Jonas who replaced Gwen Stefani this season.

Before we could get a good look at this particular contestant, we would've sworn that the voice was coming from a black woman. Stunned by the smooth and soulful voice, we were all in for a surprise the second John turned his chair with his lights turned on to reveal Zach Day.

The 25-year-old singer performed his rendition of 'Weak' and John wasted no time in pressing his button for Zach. Kelly followed suit and couldn't believe he was white. Hailing from Kentucky, Zach grew up in a little farm. He shared that he was made fun of because he was gay, but his parents were supportive. His friends call him Gaylor Swift and Gaylee Musgraves.

While Kelly and John fought their battle to try and get Zach to join their team, ultimately he decided to go with John as his coach. Taking to Twitter post his audition, fans affirm he made the right choice.

"@johnlegend #VoicePremiere I think you got lucky getting zach on your team," a fan wrote. Adding to that another said, "@johnlegend #VoicePremiere congratulation John on getting Zach he is really good and talented and will do great on the show and has a ohioan supporter."

"Great pick with Zach@johnlegend #VoicePremiere," a fan wrote while another shared, "@johnlegend #VoicePremiere I knew Zach would pick you. It was the perfect union."

"Good call on zach@johnlegend #VoicePremiere," another fan added.
