Darious Lyles performed a stunning rendition to Sam Smith's 'How Do You Sleep' and fans are certain that he picked the right coach.

'The Voice' Season 18 kicked off with its first round of the blind auditions on Monday night and veteran coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson returned to their chairs along with new coach Nick Jonas who replaced Gwen Stefani.

As the coaches got ready for a little friendly battle, the contestants prepared to sing their hearts out hoping to get a chair turn. One of those contestants was Darious Lyles, a church singer from Chicago.

Darious' father was a pastor and at the age of 18 he found out he was adopted and reconnected with his birth mother. His adoptive parents passed away around four years ago. He had his birth mother accompany him for his audition.
