Is Blake Shelton a hypocrite or not? Fans are divided after his latest performance on 'The Voice' Season 17.

Blake has been receiving quite the backlash from fans recently after his performance of 'Hell Right' with Trace Adkins on 'The Voice' Season 17 semifinal results that aired on Tuesday night.

While some fans called him a hypocrite because he wished the crowd a Merry Christmas after he performed the song 'Hell Right', a few others claimed it wasn't a cuss word and he should not listen to the others.

Blake has always been a fan-favorite coach on 'The Voice' despite him facing flak for some of his choices on the show. He is the longest-reigning coach and the coach with the highest number of wins on the series. Blake is also loved for his bromance with Adam Levine. And in the eyes of fans, he can never do wrong. But now it looks like things have changed for most fans back home who are slamming him and calling him a hypocrite.

During Tuesday night's semifinals, Blake Shelton kicked off the night with Trace Adkins. The duo performed their recent single, 'Hell Right', and while the audience erupted in cheer, some viewers back home didn't like the fact that Blake Shelton took the mic and wished everyone a Merry Christmas, right after he performed the song with 'Hell' in the title.

Taking to Twitter some fans called him a hypocrite for doing so. "What a Hypocrite Blake is and the whole production as a whole for that matter! Blake comes out singing Hell Right and in the same breath Merry Christmas all and God Bless. What a joke!!!" a fan wrote.

"Very disappointed in Blake for singing a song like God’s Country and then singing Hell Right. And then even more disappointed that he sang Hell Right tonight on The Voice and then said Merry Christmas to everyone," a fan shared. While another wrote, "Christ does not approve."

Though some fans called him a hypocrite, a few fans found nothing wrong with his wish and shared that it is not a cuss word. "@blakeshelton I loved you Hell Right performance on the voice. It’s a great song about if you’re going to do something, do it right. Don’t do something half-assed as my wife would say. Ignore the critics."

"I did not see @NBCTheVoice I have heard the comments and I have watched a video and personally from an American and a Christian I completely approve of @blakeshelton so Let’s raise Hell!! Hell Right and Merry Christmas America!!" a fan wrote.

Adding to that another said, "@blakeshelton l was just reading a news story that mentioned you saying “hell right” and people acting like that was some really bad cuss word! Come on people if that is all you have to complain about get over it! There is way worse words in songs than that! Good lord."
