'The Voice' Season 17 Battle Rounds: Fans rage as Blake Shelton chooses Zach Bridges over Cory Jackson

'The Voice' returned on Tuesday night as the Battle Rounds continued, and while Blake Shelton might have made a lot of mistakes in choosing the wrong person for his team, fans claim he made a bigger mistake by letting Cory Jackson go.

Battling it out against each other to 'Should've Been a Cowboy' by Toby Keith from Team Blake was Cory Jackson and Zach Bridges. Cory has been a fan favorite ever since his Blind Audition, and back on stage with his best performance, he did outshine Zach with his impeccable vocals.

Even the coaches couldn't ignore Cory's voice and his personality throughout the performance. Gwen Stefani shared that he took her attention away from Zach and that is certainly true. Cory did do that. But in the end, it was surprising that Blake who always listened to Gwen didn't pay heed to what she said, and went with his gut.

He chose Zach as the winner of the battle, which left everyone devasted, mostly fans. His reason for choosing Zach was because "Zach's got that deeper voice we don't hear a lot on The Voice."

Taking to Twitter post their performance, fans shared their disappointment with Blake's decision. "Corey was more engaging! They sounded SO good together!!!!!! The saves and steals get used too soon. I guess that’s just part of the producers process but damn!" wrote a fan. While another said, "I can’t believe that Cory’s gone! A great artist for beng so young."

"You just screwed the pooch. CORY all the way," shared a fan. Adding to that another said, "Blake I truly believe your choice of Zach over Cory is going to come back and bite you in the butt! Should've listened to Gwen lol."

"You let a good one slip away Blake. #teamblake," wrote a fan. Another added saying, "Dang ! Stinks that @cjacksonmusic1 didn’t make it . He’s awesome."

"Lol Blake is stupid he chose the wrong guy. Cory was very clearly the winner of that battle but oh well #TheVoice," wrote a fan.

'The Voice' season 17 airs every Monday and Tuesday night only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
