While several Battles were televised in their entirety (such as Team Reba's Ashley Bryant defeating Elyscia Jefferson), one performance was only shown as part of a montage, infuriating fans.

During Tuesday's episode, Anya True of Team Dan+Shay battled against AJ Harvey. However, viewers were outraged and bashed the network on social media after only seeing a shortened clip of the Battle.

On X, fans wrote, "I’m so frustrated that Anya and AJ got montaged. They were two of my favorites from the Blinds and im sad AJ is gone already and we didn’t even get to hear him perform again. Such a shame and so unfair to the artists." Another fan complained, "We didn't get much set up."

One user felt, "AJ Harvey vs Anya True got a little more time than the montage." A fourth user requested, " Can we have more music and fewer flashbacks and less chitchat?"
