'The Voice' 2023: Chance The Rapper reveals he never heard Elvis Presley's 'T-R-O-U-B-L-E' before Al Boogie sang it
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' returned for Season 23 with the longtime coaches Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Notably, the latest season of the NBC show marks OG coach Blake's last season. Meanwhile, the new season also welcomed two new coaches -- Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.
Ole Whiskey Revival band's lead singer Al Boogie recently performed a song by Elvis Presley. However, Chance had to face embarrassment as he wasn't aware of the song by the King of Rock and Roll. Despite being a lead singer of the popular band, none of 'The Voice' judges turned their chairs during Boogie's blind audition.

Who is Al Boogie?
Al Boogie aka Alex Troegel, 37, is the son of Bill and Sherri Troegel. He was born and raised in Mansfield, Texas. He also went to LSU Shreveport. The country singer is married to Stacey Lynn Brown Troegel. He currently lives with his wife, dog, and children in Louisana.
Boogie was a sales guy for a crane company. But he has decided to pursue his dream to show his children that anyone can chase their dreams. He also shared that music is like oxygen to him. His band has made a lot of people dance and helped sell a lot of beer.
Boogie and his band members -- Trent Daugherty, John Garcia, and Stevey Hensley -- have performed at multiple locations in his town. He started the band in 2014 as a side project. They later began to write original songs and recorded their first one at Sandbox Studios in Shreveport with producer Darren Osborn.
Boogie's band has played in support of Charlie Robison, Stoney Larue, Mark Chesnut, Sammy Kershaw, Rodney Adtkins, Confederate Railroad, and most recently Craig Morgan.
Why did none of the coaches turn for Al Boogie?
Boogie performed Elvis' song 'T-R-O-U-B-L-E'. However, not even a single coach turned their chair for him and Boogie's dream of becoming a well-known singer shattered into pieces. Soon after his performance, Blake said that his last name is the greatest last name of all time. Meanwhile, Chance noted that he has never heard the song before. The rapper later wished luck to Boogie and said that he has a bright career ahead of him.
'The Voice' coaches might haven't heard enough of his original voice to fully grasp his potential. However, they did ask him to come next season with a different song. Meanwhile, fans didn't agree with the coach's decision. The social media users took to Twitter to slam the coaches. A user wrote, "@blakeshelton #TheVoice I thought you would have turned around for Al Boogie." Another user wrote, "Hey there you shoul have turned for Al Boogie. Bring him back@blakeshelton #TheVoice. Another user said, "They should’ve turned on al boogie."
Another user penned, "Up next tonight on #VoiceBlinds is #AlBoogie singing " T- R- O-U-B-L-E and no chairs turn. Wishing Al the very best and hope he continues to follow his dream." Another user tweeted, "I’m surprised Blake didn’t turn around. Al Boogie would be perfect for him."
