NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin called rapper Kanye "Ye" West a ‘white supremacist’ during the show's 'Hot Topics' segment on Monday, November 28. The troubled rapper has come under fire online for donning a "White Lives Matter" shirt and making a number of antisemitic comments.

Hostin condemned former President Donald Trump's recent dinner with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes, which has sparked widespread criticism. West was recently seen at Mar-a-Lago with avowed white nationalist and Holocaust denier Fuentes, the leader of what is known as the Groyper Army. As a result, a number of well-known companies have severed ties with Yeezy's owner, including Balenciaga, Adidas, Gap, Foot Locker, and JP Morgan Chase. In addition, Ye's wax model was taken down from the museum floor by Madame Tussaud's London, as per New York Post.

“I think the problem with it is, when you provide that kind of access to white supremacists — which is what these two [West and Fuentes] are at this point, because Kanye is also wearing things that say ‘White Lives Matter,'” Hostin said. She continued, “I mean he’s, you know, mental problems or not, he is exhibiting antisemitic behavior, bigotry, racism and so has Nick Fuentes. So I don’t think there’s an excuse for this.”

Trump has made an effort to place the blame for Fuentes' attendance at the dinner on West, claiming that the rapper brought him along unexpectedly and that Trump himself was unaware of Fuentes before their meeting on November 26. However, the women at the table have pointed out the flaws in that reasoning. “He has Secret Service protection at all time, because he’s a former president of the United States,” Hostin explained. “So there’s no way that someone walked in to Mar-a-Lago to have dinner with the former, twice-impeached, disgraced president and he didn’t know who they were. So that’s a lie.”

Hostin continued by saying that, even if Trump didn't exactly know who Fuentes was, he would have known who Ye is at that moment and suggested that the rapper himself ought to be given a similar designation. “I think the problem with it is, when you provide that kind of access to white supremacists — which is what these two are at this point, because Kanye is also wearing things that say ‘White Lives Matter.’ I mean he’s, you know, mental problems or not, he is exhibiting antisemitic behavior, bigotry, racism, and so has Nick Fuentes. So I don’t think there’s an excuse for this," as per The Wrap.

The co-hosts of Hostin appeared to concur with her statement, with Sara Haines reiterating the criticism expressed on Twitter by conservative radio host Ben Shapiro, criticizing Trump’s actions. Haines retweeted his tweet: “A good way not to accidentally dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you don’t know is not to dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you do know.”
