'The View' host Whoopi Goldberg dramatically tears up cue cards for 'Vanderpump Rules' star Raquel Leviss
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Vanderpump Rules’ isn’t just the talk of the town amongst its fans, but also often on ‘The View.’ While Alyssa Farah Griffin might be a big fan of the show, looks like all co-hosts are slightly invested, especially Whoopi Goldberg. The 'Sister Act' star has a flair for drama on and off-screen, and July 13's episode of ‘The View’ was proof of that.
Raquel Leviss is a fan-favorite when it comes to ‘Vanderpump Rules', as she became a Hot Topic on ‘The View.’ Most recently, fans have demanded Leviss get a pay raise on the reality show, and co-hosts agreed to this notion. Goldberg agreed enough to destroy the cue cards that she was holding while on air.
‘Dammit! Raise her salary’
Emmy nominations are out, and ‘Vanderpump Rules’ has wiggled its way into them for the first time. Goldberg picked up a cue card as she read, “The first time in ten seasons Vanderpump Rules received Emmy nominations…two of them.” Griffin and Sunny Hostin were quick to nod in agreement before Goldberg continued, “Fans are crediting Raquel Leviss for saving the show with her and Tom Sandavol’s affair. They are demanding that Bravo raise her salary.” Goldberg didn’t need to read the cue cards any further before she dramatically tore up the cue cards screaming, “Dammit! Raise her salary.”
Beyond this, Goldberg’s knowledge about ‘Vanderpump Rules’ is next to none, so, Griffin was quick to take over. Griffin said, “She should be compensated according to her work if she comes back, but people tuned in because Arianna Maddox, who was wronged, handled it like an iconic queen champ and made it hilarious, she is who should be compensated.” Looks like Bravo might have to increase the pay of both Maddox and Leviss at this point.
Whoopi Goldberg taps out
Goldberg tore up the cue cards, had her moment, and that was it. For the rest of the segment about ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ she had nothing new to add to the conversation. In fact, she almost looked bored as she sat sprawled across the desk with her head on the table ready to take a nap. Lucky for her, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ topic was over after a little discussion after which she sat back up, ready for the next topic.
