The co-hosts of the Daytime Emmy-winning CBS talk show ‘The Talk’ were visited by ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ actor Jeri Ryan on Thursday’s episode. In a casual conversation with Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, rapper Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond, The 51-year-old actor spoke about reprising her role in ‘Star Trek: Picard’ and other upcoming projects.

Ryan who played the Borg drone, Seven of Nine, in ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ surprised fans all around as she beamed aboard La Sirena, the main starship in ‘Star Trek: Picard’ in a Comic-Con trailer last year. Her first appearance on the series happened last week.

Her role, obviously, was kept under wraps. Upon Osmond asking, “How did you keep everything quiet, because nobody knew that you were going to return?” Ryan said, “That was the miracle of miracles, that they actually kept this under wraps until Comic-Con last year, when they showed it in the trailer, and Seven of Nine shows up. I was convinced that there was no way they were going to keep this a secret.”

Ryan further said, “We were shooting one episode, actually today's episode, on Universal City Walk, this is a theme park for movie buffs. Our base camp was the back lot. Everything was secret, secret, secret, so I had to be covered in, we call it the invisibility cloak. I am completely covered. I had to be guided around because all I could see was the ground right in front of me.”

“So at one point they are driving me to set and we're going really slowly, and I said what is going on? Oh, we're behind the tram tour. We were following the actual tram tour. Are you trying to make this leak? It was crazy. But we did it,” she added.

But that’s not all she dished out on the show.

Ryan also revealed exclusive details about her newly announced role in CBS’ ‘MacGyver’. The action-adventure television series, a reboot of the ABC series of the same name, revolves around the titular Angus ‘Mac’ MacGyver, who is an operative of a secret U.S. government organization.

“I’m not allowed to tell you a lot. I’m here for an arc this season. She’s Mac’s [Lucas Till] aunt that he didn’t know existed. She was presumed dead. She’s a DXS agent… And um, she is the head of an organization called Codex, which is, they're sort of hunting at this point,” Ryan told the co-hosts. “But anyway, she makes them question a lot of things.”

‘The Talk’ airs Monday through Friday at 11 am PT.
