Plot

The story opens with a man named Nicholas Claus, nicknamed "Santa" by his wife Gretchen, who lives in Europe a long time ago and makes toys for kids wishing he could give toys to every child in the world. Santa has grown up in an orphanage where he learned how to make toys all by himself. But now he is in debt as he gives away most of his toys rather than selling them. The increasing debt results in his landlord evicting Claus and his wife. The penniless couple decides to give away the rest of the toys to the Angel's Island Orphanage where Claus was brought up; but while going there midway, their ship is caught in a storm and they are miraculously transported to the North Pole. The couple meets elves, including wizardly elf Nostros, his son Clement, and the know-it-all elf girl Aurora in the North Pole and after Claus saves Clement’s life, he is granted a wish. Trying to make Claus’s lifelong desire a reality -- he wishes to send toys to all the children in the world, a wish that elves say is impossible to fulfill but as it is etched among stars, the couple starts recruiting the elves in fulfilling it.
