To maintain her health, Dr Kirshaw frequently monitors her vital signs and performs cutting-edge medical therapies.
Additionally, the overly paranoid Chancellor has enlisted the services of Herbert Zubak (Matthias Schoenaerts), a former soldier with a tarnished past, to accompany her around the clock.

However, her paranoia grows even more intense following an attempted assassination, leaving her concerned about her health.
Cutting off all ties with the outside world, she retreats into isolation for a stringent two-week period, maintaining exclusive communication with Zubak, the very person who rescued her from the assassination attempt.
However, in the final moments of the episode, Elena confronts her adversaries head-on and breaks free from her self-imposed confinement, spurred on by Zubak's uplifting remarks.
