'The Outpost' Season 3 Episode 2: Can Yavalla be trusted? Fans feel she is 'hiding something in her robes'

Spoilers for 'The Outpost' Season 3 Episode 2 'The Peace You Promised'

Yavalla (Jaye Griffiths) continues with her promises of peace and paradise as the Outpost finds itself amidst high tensions like never before in 'The Outpost' Season 3 Episode 2. The last high priestess of the Blackbloods repeatedly tells anyone and everyone who will listen that there can be - and will be - eternal peace between the two factions.

Apparently, the way to this so-called peace is hidden somewhere in the Outpost and can only be discovered once Wren (Izuka Hoyle), her daughter can manage to make any developments in that direction. Ever since her first appearance on the show during the Season 3 premiere, Yavalla has been addressed as the one who will lead humans and Blackbloods to peace. And while the Blackbloods clearly place her in high regard, bending their knee for her and etc, humans at the Outpost and Talon (Jessica Green) cannot bring themselves to trust her.

There is a constant feeling of mistrust hanging in the air at the Outpost. And in Episode 2, different characters take their own steps in order to address this. Gwynn (Imogen Waterhouse) sends Tobin (Aaron Fontaine) on a secret mission to go to Aegisford to gather arms and army against the Blackbloods while Talon gives Garret (Jake Stormoen) refuge in what used to be the Mistress' (Robyn Malcolm) colipsum production room.

Jaye Griffiths as Yavalla (The CW)

Yavalla hasn't done anything to prove that humans and Blackbloods can remain in peace. She merely moves around with the authority of someone who can say this. Granted it has been only two episodes, but that is enough to presume that Talon should have steered clear of her if she could.

Along with most of the Outpost, fans of the show cannot come to trust Yavalla either. "I don't trust Yavalla at all. #TheOutpost," tweeted a fan. Some point out that there is a lot more to her character than the story lets on so far. And that her hidden agenda is yet to be revealed. Perhaps the Blackbloods in this world don't even fully know of her intentions. "She is certainly keeping something hidden in her robes," tweeted another fan. In fact, some fans had the foresight to predict this since her first appearance. "Don’t know, something’s fishy at the Outpost. Not sure about this Yavalla."

Only time can tell if Yavalla is trustworthy or not. Till then, do not fall for her words. 'The Outpost' airs on The CW on Thursdays at 9/8c.
