'The Masked Singer': Snow Owls revealed as Clint Black and Lisa Hartman, upset fans say 'hate to see them go'
The Snow Owls, for the first time in the history of 'The Masked Singer', were one of the most distinctive masks. Never before had the show seen two performers, couped up together in a shell, wearing elaborate bird costume β huge wings and all. This was a huge switch up from the past 3 seasons on the US iteration of this extremely popular show.
Country musician Clint Black has enjoyed an illustrious musical career in the industry, however not many knew that his wife, actress Lisa Hartman too had a voice of gold that she very well displayed during the four performances, disguised as the pristine Snow Owls on the show.
Their opening performance was 'Say Something' by A Great Big World, followed by 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainer in the playoffs. On Wednesday night, they showed up and showed out singing 'The Prayer' by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, delivering a performance so divine and surreal, making sure that people could bask in its effect for a long time.
Unfortunately, the Sun mask outshone them, making her place directly in the Super 6. The Snow Owls now had to engage in a smackdown battle with the Popcorn mask, another solid performer. Can we all just agree to agree that Group A on this show had the best performers β the ones that went home and the ones that stayed?
Coming back to the performances, they lost the smackdown battle and were eliminated from the show. However, as is tradition on 'The Masked Singer', they weren't going away without revealing who they were. It was a moment everyone was waiting for, not their elimination, but to find out who exactly were these people under those stunningly serene masks, rocking those humongous wings.
Lisa and Clint and Donny and Marie Osmond were the popular guesses among audiences on the identity of the masked celebrities and it turns out people guessing the former were right all along.
The Snow Owls' elimination has not gone down well with audiences who are shocked that such talented voices have been eliminated. "The Owls didn't deserve to get booted off tonight! I thought they were great. Shocked to see it was Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman! #TheMaskedSinger" wrote a fan.
"#TheMaskedSinger Clint Black was hard to miss after doing The Prayer, but where has Lisa Hartman Black been all these years with that harmonious voice to his? Well done! Sorry to see them go," tweeted another. "Super sad the Snow Owls went home tonight. I love Clint Black & Lisa Hartman Black #TheMaskedSinger" read another tweet. "Lisa Hartman Black is more amazing than she even realizes she is. I've always loved Clint Black's voice. I hated to see them go," wrote another fan.
