'The Masked Singer' Season 9: Dandelion is 'Dune' star Alicia Witt and Lamp is Melissa Joan Hart

Dandelion has officially been weeded out of the competition

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Masked Singer' Season 9's space-themed episode brought two new masked singers to the stage - Lamp and UFO, who competed against the winner of the previous episode, Dandelion. Unfortunately, Dandelion's fate was sealed and she was eliminated in the middle of the show. The masked singer, who entered the stage in a green bodysuit, conquered the hearts of the audience with the song 'Starlight' by Muse.

​Dandelion wore a green colored ruffle around her waist, giving off star vibes. The masked singer wore a top with pointed shoulders and white boots. She also donned a huge white dandelion head mask. Dandelion gave viewers enough clues about her character before and in the new episode, the masked singer provided a number of new clues. Dandelion was eliminated and revealed to be Alicia Witt. Well, her identity was no longer a secret for the fans when the clue that she owns a dog was revealed on stage. After Dandelion was unmasked UFO and Lamp moved ahead to the Battel Royale round singing their own rendition of ‘Rocket Man’ by Elton John. And after the battle UFO reigned the episode with Lamp being ruled out and unmasked as Melissa Joan Hart.

Clues for Dandelion

As soon as Dandelion took the stage, a video clip was released with a series of clues from FOX to help the panelists and also the audience better understand who this masked singer was. The first clue was that the marked singer has a fondness for dogs. She was seen saying, "Luckily I have my beloved dog to help me" She added, "He's the only one who knows who I am by my voice." Dandelion also hinted that she plays the piano. The clue pack included a Santa hat with the crying and laughing emoji on it. The other clues were a "space star" and the singer's "plenty of experience with space."

The clue package of the first performance included a 'Wanted' poster, and hints such as - has been working since childhood, worked with Madonna, Flear and Elton John, an angel with a halo and a zombie were shown, Dorothy's red ruby slippers with the inscription 'Billboards,' worked on TV and was next to Olivia Rodrigo in the charts.

Dandelion was eliminated in the middle of the show and was revealed to be Alicia Witt. The reference to the piano connected her to her role as a pianist. Alicia is also an actress and singer. She first became known as a child actress. The main clue to her role was that Alicia brought her dog on stage with her. Her dog was immediately recognized by fans. Alicia has appeared in movies like 'Dune,' 'Twin Peaks,' 'Fun,' 'Last Holiday,' and many others. She has also appeared on television in 'Cybill.'

Clues for Lamp

Lamp mask donner ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 9’s stage wearing bronze top to bottom dress, including flared pants and a veil. This masked singer had a stained glass lampshade with pattern of blue, yellow, red, and purple, pattern on it. This masked singer stunned the panelists with her soulful voice, singing ‘Venus’ by Bananarama in first round and ‘Rocket Man’ by Elton John in Battle Round round.In her clue, she revealed, “Welcome aboard Masked Singer Airways. I’ll be your flight attendant, Lamp. And our final destination today is space!” The masked singer further warned the audience saying, “I’d like to start you all out with a small warning that tonight’s flight might get a little bumpy.”

Lamp revealed that she “terrified of singing” especially in front of people. She added, “But after navigating the silver skies as a pre-teen, I’m used to my fair share of turbulence. As if growing up in front of an audience wasn’t hard enough, I also barely had time to myself to figure out who I actually was. But being a teen queen darling did come with a few first class perks!” She further claimed to have known Ryan Reynolds, Mario Lopez, and James Van Der Beek. The visual clues for this masked singer included a picture of Nicole, a senior yearbook, a steering wheel, and energy drink, and a witch cauldron.Lamp was unmasked to be award winning actress and 90s icon Melissa Joan Hart. Started working as a teenager and witch clue hinted towards Melissa’s work in ‘Sabrina The Teenage Witch.’ She began her TV career at the age of 4 with a TV commercial called ‘Splashy’ for bathtub doll. She then made 25 such commercials before she turned 5. Even though Melissa is a well known actress but singing has not been much of her thing. But she tried her luck by releasing album ‘This is What ‘Na Na’ Means.’ She also sang in ‘Sabrina The Teenage Witch.’ The energy drink clue connected her as she drinks MCT oil in her water and tea on set as the energy boost.

UFO became the winner of Space Night episode, moving ahead for 'The Masked Singer' Season 9 Supreme Six episode.
