'The Mandalorian' is exceptionally good when it comes to having its audiences guessing about what Mando/Din Djarin and The Child/Baby Yoda's next adventure would be. Season 2 of the hit 'Star Wars' series is no different. While there were enough rumors surrounding Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth and Boba Fett, the show did introduce Vanth as the Marshal of Mos Pelgo while the audience had a gasp! moment in the final minutes with Temeura Morrison's Boba Fett making an appearance.

Not that most of us saw this coming in the first chapter. 'Star Wars' geeks have been hard at work speculating what's next in the upcoming chapter and given the recent flow of events, there are theories of the return of a classic alien from the franchise — Mon Calamari. Despite the vague synopsis that reads: "The Mandalorian must ferry a passenger with precious cargo on a risky journey," the keywords have been picked along with moments from the trailer to better expain why Calamari would be shown.

Please note the synopsis is from Woolkipedia and that neither Lucasfilm or Disney haven't actually confirmed it, writes Inverse. The Rotten Tomatoes page for 'The Mandalorian' Season 2 says that the episode is titled 'Chapter 10: The Confrontation'.

Calamari was dropped in as a hint in Episode 3 of the first season in a conversation between Mando and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers). Mando looks at a bounty puck showing a Mon Calamari to which Karga says, "Ah, that's the best of the lot. A nobleman's son skipped bail. Looks like you're headed to the ocean dunes of Karnac."

For fans, this is an absolute easter egg if the second episode indeed shows Mon Calamari. In addition, the trailer also features Mando and Baby Yoda on a cargo ship, so maybe the connect has led to the theory. Again, much of this is pure speculation and come Friday, November 6, we'll know what's in store.

For now, the biggest talking point is still Boba Fett and the question is if he will show in the second episode as well. And let's not forget Moff Gideon and his darksaber who is yet to show up. 'The Mandalorian' Season 2 drops news episodes every Friday on Disney+.
