'The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs' had an intensely successful first season that aired in July 2018 on the horror streaming service, Shudder. The second season of the show premiered on April 24. The streaming service airs weekly horror movies on #TheLastDriveIn and this week, they aired the 1988 movie 'Dead Heat.' OG fans took to Twitter to make fun of Joe Piscopo as they all watched the old-time film!

"Joe Piscopo, the 80s version of Ryan Reynolds. #TheLastDriveIn #MutantFam #Deadheat," tweeted one user while another comparison tweet said, "Joe Piscopo looks just like Jim Carrey from the movie Liar Liar! @kinky_horror @Shudder #TheLastDriveIn #DeadHeat."

There were harsher ones: "The strange case of Joe Piscopo. A man who was once one of the funniest men alive and then somehow, with each muscle he grew, he subsequently lost a funny bone... #TheLastDriveIn #MutantFam@Shudder @kinky_horror @therealjoebob," tweeted another user.

The synopsis of the film reads, "When a dutiful Los Angeles police officer named Roger Mortis (Treat Williams) tries to apprehend robbers that happen to be zombies, he ends up as one of the undead himself. Since Mortis has managed to stay in his right mind, he aids his loudmouthed partner, Doug Bigelow (Joe Piscopo), in getting to the bottom of the macabre crime ring. Eventually, the cops track down the villains, including Arthur P Loudermilk (Vincent Price), and try to end their supernatural thievery."

It was reported that the second season of the #TheLastDriveIn will have movies ranging from " horror classics to obscurities and foreign cult favorites" and Dead Heat's zombies narrative is perfect. While the movie was a fairly loved one, Twitter roasted Piscopo. "Joe Piscopo is really icky. #TheLastDriveIn@therealjoebob @kinky_horror @SetDarcyFree @Shudder #MutantFam@craigengler," tweeted one user while another tweeted, "Joe Piscopo used to look like an actual Simpsons drawing. #TheLastDriveIn' with the actors face zoomed in from the movies poster.

It seems that Piscopo had fans laughing with his role as Doug Bigelow in 'Dead Heat' from his looks to his dialogues, fans showed no mercy. "What's more impressive? Joe Piscopo's tight shirt not ripping or his mullet? #TheLastDriveIn #DeadHeat," tweeted one user as another tweeted a shady compliment, "I like Joe Piscopo. Check him out in Wise Guys with Danny DeVito. So dumb it was good. #TheLastDriveIn."

The reason the first season of 'The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs' was a hit is that fans appreciated the titular host discussing the movies as they played. The premiere season included movies such as, 'Sleepaway Camp,' 'Rabid,' 'Hellraiser,' and 'Re-Animator.' Season 2 of the show, will complete its run on June 26.
