It hasn't been long since Netflix announced a season two for 'The Kominsky Method'. The highly entertaining and equally heartfelt comedy series features Michael Douglas as Sandy Kominsky and Alan Arkin as Norman Newlander. Created by Chuck Lorre, 'The Kominsky Method' follows ageing actor and acting coach Sandy and his longtime agent and friend Norman as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles. The streaming service has finally given a release date for season two.

Plot
Season two of the critically acclaimed series affirms that the sun isn’t setting on the once famous Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander just yet. Michael Douglas's Sandy Kominsky and Alan Arkin's Norman Newlander star are two friends tackling life's inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty. Both comedic and emotional, 'The Kominsky Method' is an eight-episode, half-hour single-camera show created by eight-time Emmy Award nominee Chuck Lorre.
Season two will see Sandy meeting and bonding with his daughter's new boyfriend (played by guest star Paul Reiser), who is uncomfortably close to his age. On the other hand, Norman reconnects with an old flame from his youth (guest-starred by Jane Seymour) and after five decades, they decide to restart.

Michael Douglas as Sandy Kominsky
Douglas' Kominsky is a successful actor who now works as a revered acting coach in Hollywood, a role for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy. Douglas is known for his role in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', 'Romancing the Stone' (a film that he also produced and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy), 'Black Rain', 'Basic Instinct', 'The American President', 'Traffic and Wonder Boys', 'Solitary Man', 'Ant-Man', and 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'.
Alan Arkin as Norman Newlander
Arkin's Norman is not only Kominsky's long-time friend but also his agent, a role for which he was nominated the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film in 2018. Arkin is known for his performance in 'Little Miss Sunshine' and 'Argo', a role that got him nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Nancy Travis as Lisa
Travis' Lisa is a recent divorcée who decides to take acting lessons from Sandy. The actress is known for her role in 'Almost Perfect', 'Rose Red;, 'Becker', 'Last Man Standing'.
Sarah Baker as Mindy
Baker plays the role of Mindy, Sandy Kominsky's daughter who runs his acting studio with him. Season two seems to be an important one for the father-daughter duo as Kominsky is teased to meet Mindy's boyfriend. Guest starred by Paul Reiser, Mindy's boyfriend is uncomfortably close to Sandy's age and this might not work out in the best possible way. Baker is known for her performance on 'The Campaign', 'Mascots', and 'Louie' apart from 'The Kominsky Method'.

'The Kominsky Method' is created by Chuck Lorre, written by Al Higgins, David Javerbaum and Lorre, who also directed the first episode. Lorre, Higgins and Michael Douglas executive produce the series which is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
