Netflix’s 2018 romantic drama ‘The Kissing Booth’ went on to become “one of the most-watched movies in the country, and maybe in the world,” according to the company’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos. It is returning with a sequel to make your summer special. The news regarding the release of ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ was announced by its lead actress Joey King during a live event on YouTube by revealing the poster for her upcoming film.

‘The Kissing Booth 2’ is set to drop on July 24 on Netflix.
The original movie follows Shelly ‘Elle’ Evans, who falls head over heels in lobe with her best friend’s brother. The rest of the film navigates the troubles she gets herself entangle in owing to her desires. The tagline for ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ reads, “Rules can be broken, but so can hearts.”
Joey King plays the lead role of Elle in ‘The Kissing Booth’. She first came to be known for portraying Ramon Quimby in ‘Ramona and Beezus’. She also appeared in films such as ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ and ‘Wish Upon’ before Netflix’s highly successful ‘The Kissing Booth’.
Joel Courtney who appears as Elle’s best friend Lee Flynn in ‘The Kissing Booth’, is known for playing the role of Joe Lamb in ‘Super 8’, which earned him a Saturn Award. He later paid the lead role of Peter Moore in The CW’s ‘The Messengers’.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers will be joining the original cast in ‘The Kissing Booth 2’. She’s known for her recurring role as Eva Sinclair in The CW series ‘The Originals’. She also appeared in films including ‘Our First World’, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and ‘Melody’.
