MTV has decided to discontinue 'The Hills: New Beginnings' after two seasons, and the reason behind this move could be many. Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Whitney Port, Brandon Thomas Less, Kaitlynn Carter, Frankie Delgado, Justin Brescia, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler, Ashley Wahler, and former 'OC' star Mischa Barton were among the incredible cast members of the reboot which premiered in 2019. Lauren Conrad, one of the key cast members, was absent from the beginning due to her other professional endeavors.

The show originally premiered in 2006 and ran till 2010. After a nine-year hiatus, a reboot titled'The Hills: New Beginnings'was produced. The creators of this show were satisfied and proud of what they were able to pull off amid a worldwide pandemic even though the relaunch didn't have a huge impact on the public due to a great year gap and missing cast members.

There are several reasons for the show's cancellation with no proof of what is genuinely true. According to some sources, the production team wanted to cast a few young members to add diversity to the show, but the OG cast seemed to have issues with it, while others claim that the OG cast members had issues with the reboot, accusing the network of not delivering on their promises and that certain storylines were made up to force people to make unneeded confessions. This resulted in original cast members refusing to reprise their roles, possibly leading to the show's discontinuation.

Another very good reason for the cancellation was that the world was in the grip of a Covid pandemic. This could have made it more difficult to find filming settings for a large team as well as adhere to social distancing norms. The reasons for the cancellation may be uncertain in these uncertain times, we can only hope that everyone stays well and works things out so that we can remember the good memories of the show in our minds.
