'The Haves And The Have Nots' Season 8 Episode 9: Will Candace remain Charles' 'dirty little secret'?

Fans have mixed emotions about Charles and Candace

It's the mid-season finale for 'The Haves And The Have Nots' and we're still stuck deciding on whom Candace (Tika Sumpter) looks better with: Mitch (Brett Davis) or Charles (Nick Sagar). Charles turned up at Candace's hotel to apologize, but Candace has got her mother's fiery personality and wants nothing to do with him. So she kicks him out. Charles knows that Candace might still have something for him, but he doesn't want to push it, though Landon is annoyed because they took a great deal of effort to come down to her hotel.

Meanwhile, Benny (Tyler Lepley) tries to convince Candace that Mitch is also in love with her. Candace, who used to be quite a riveting character back in the early seasons, is just sedate and prefers not to comment on anything. It was a rather dull mid-season finale and fans are not quite pleased, as they feel that the show has become slow-paced and that the only person who was interesting, is now dull as ditchwater.

Other fans are wondering whether Candace should end up with Mitch or Charles. Some say that she shouldn't forgive Charles at all, because of the way he had once treated her. Others feel that she belongs with Charles unless she remains his dirty little secret. "Sooo...Since Charles is trying to get Candace back. Does this mean he's going to claim her publicly now or is she still going to be his dirty secret. No need to come back apologizing if nothing will change. #HAHN," a fan tweeted. "I’m sorry but I need Tyler to do better with this show. I’m literally only watching for Candace and Charles storyline. I can’t take this slow talking and no action episodes. The show doesn’t even trend anymore. He’s going to mess around and it’s going to get canceled #HAHN," another wrote. "Should she forgive Charles? If she does, will he hurt her again? #HAHN," a fan asked. "#HAHN Charles wants to make up but is still doing it on the low. How is that supposed to make her think he's actually sorry," another asked. "’m having so many mixed emotions about this Charles and Candace thing. #HAHN," wrote another fan.
