'The Haves And The Have Nots' Season 8 Episode 1 Preview: How will David free himself of Alyssa's rape claims?
'HAHN' fans, this one is for you. 'The Haves And The Have Nots' is back, after a climactic Season 7 finale. There are lots of storylines to address in Season 8, so strap on your seatbelts.
The upcoming Season 8 will focus on a number of things, starting with the aftermath of the Cryers learning of their son Wyatt's (Aaron O' Connell) death. His mother, Katheryn (Reneé Lawless), was already done with her son and refused to pay up to the Malone, for which they cost her her own son, and knowing Jim, he wouldn't really care now and think of it as trouble as of his hands, now that his household items selling addict chaotic son has finally died. Wyatt survived a lot in Season 7, and fans didn't think that he would ever die, but hey presto, getting both your wrists cut by a certain Uncle Vinny, might have just helpe. Meanwhile, on the Young side, Candace's (Tika Sumpter) speculated pregnancy would get some spotlight, along with Hanna's second chance of love with Al...though as it's 'HAHN', we really can't say if he can be trusted or not.
Another subplot, which came out of nowhere is David Harrington's (Peter Parros) Alissa, who was last seen on her way out of his house claiming rape. Alyssa was stalking David for the last few episodes in Season 7 practically, and finally got to..er..have sex with him, which was also a bizarre surprise for fans. Oh, we can't forget our favourite Veronica, (Angela Robinson), without whose devious antics the show can't run. She is currently blackmailing her new boytoy into continuing his service - of all types - towards her. If you remember, Victoria was just intent on seducing the poolboy in Season 7, even though he has a wife. There are a lot of games to be played, and are being played. Season 8 promises to be another nutty ride with the Malones and the Youngs.
The synopsis for the premiere reads as, "A shy fox tries to set David up, but he is smarter and faster..." We're guessing that means Alyssa is still trying her best to trap David, but he's going to find a way out of this mess.
